One of Aman’s favorite quotes has always been “Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, ‘I will try again'” Making the decision to seek counseling is an incredibly courageous decision and Aman commends you for taking that first step that can be so difficult. Her goal as a registered clinical social work intern is to empower you to build and develop your inner strengths while also incorporating creativity, humor, and mindfulness into the therapeutic process.
Education and experience
Aman obtained a BS in Psychology and Sociology in her hometown of Detroit and her MSW from University of Southern California. She has volunteered and worked in a variety of settings related to individual and group counseling with individuals facing issues including addiction, dual diagnosis, homelessness, drug court, anxiety, anger management, grief, and/or domestic violence. Aman has completed over 350 hours of additional training on specific treatment modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, play therapy, mindfulness, and acceptance and commitment therapy as well as topics on special populations. Aman is currently license eligible and is working towards obtaining her LCSW.
